Ghosted Review

Ghosted is a movie that stars Chris Evans and Ana de Armas as two extremely different people who fall in love while trying to stop a global threat. A mixture of romance and action, sounds like a recipe for success, right? Wrong and I'm here to tell you why, as if I'm an abacus, Plot: 3/10 Acting: 5/10 Direction: 6/10 Cinematography: 7/10 Soundtrack: 4/10 Originality: 4/10 Emotion: 1/10 Overall: 4.2/10 Let's start with the plot, which is the backbone of any movie. Well, this movie has one, but probably suffers from osteoporosis. It  is so predictable that I could tell how things would turn out 23 minutes into the movie, and I was right. And trust me, it's not because I'm a genius, it's because the plot is that flat.  It's a limp and lifeless story that tries to be a mix of action and romance.  Early into the movie there's a plot twist that I think deserves some credit, it's not exactly a twist because the movie keeps hinting it very obviously and...

Cyberpunk 2077 Ray Tracing Overdrive

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that has been praised for its immersive and futuristic world, but also criticized for its technical issues and bugs. However, the developers at CD Projekt Red have been working hard to improve the game and deliver new features and updates. One of the most anticipated updates is the Ray Tracing Overdrive Mode, which was released with patch 1.62 on April 11, 2023. What is Ray Tracing Overdrive Mode? Ray Tracing Overdrive Mode is a new graphics option that enables full-blown path-traced lighting in Cyberpunk 2077. Path tracing is a technique that simulates realistic light behavior by tracing rays of light as they bounce around the scene. Even in Psycho RT settings before only a limited number of light sources are traced but with the overdrive mode every light source is traced. This results in more accurate shadows, reflections, global illumination, ambient occlusion, and more. Ray Tracing Overdrive Mode replaces all rasterized lighting with pat...

The Universal Language

Mathematics has long been considered the universal language. It is the language that transcends culture, time, and humanity. Whether you're from ancient Greece, medieval China, or modern-day America, the rules of mathematics remain the same. It's the only language that connects us all, and it's the only one that will endure long after we're gone. As the great mathematician, Carl Friedrich Gauss, once said, "Mathematics is the queen of the sciences, and number theory is the queen of mathematics." In this article, we will explore how mathematics is the ultimate universal language and how it will continue to be relevant for centuries to come. Subtopics: The Origins of Mathematics Mathematics as a Cultural Unifier Mathematics in Modern Society Mathematics as a Tool for Communication with Aliens Mathematics is not just a human invention; it's a fundamental part of the universe. From the patterns of the stars to the ratios of atoms, mathematics is everywhere....

Gravity is an Illusion

Gravity is one of the fundamental forces of nature that governs the behavior of objects in the universe. It is the force that keeps planets orbiting around their stars, holds galaxies together, and causes objects to fall to the ground when dropped. However, despite its ubiquitous presence and seemingly simple concept, our understanding of gravity is far from complete. I n fact, recent scientific discoveries have challenged some of the most basic assumptions about gravity, suggesting that it may not be what we thought it was. In this article, we will explore the fascinating and complex nature of gravity and uncover the surprising ways in which it shapes the universe around us. The study of gravity dates back  to ancient times,  With the Greek philosopher Aristotle proposing that all objects naturally moved towards their "natural place" in the universe. This idea was later refined by the astronomer Ptolemy, who proposed that the Earth was at the cente...

Further in to Smartphone Astrophotography

In my previous post, I discussed the fundamental aspects of Smartphone Astrophotography. In this article, I would like to share some personal tips and tricks that I have learned from my experience to make things easier. Before we dive into the tips, let's have a quick recap of the basics. If you are not familiar with them, you can check out my previous article titled "Astrophotography using Smartphones," where I covered topics such as using the Professional mode and various settings to use in different scenarios. Now that we know how to use our phone to capture the night sky let's talk about how to locate the objects we need to capture and when to capture them. To do this, you can use a Star tracking app from the Play Store or the App Store. These apps track your location and show you all the stars, planets, galaxies, and even satellites above you in real-time. If your phone has a gyroscope sensor, you can point it to the sky and see all those objects in the dir...

Astrophotography using Smartphones

Astrophotography is a fascinating combination of art and science that involves capturing stunning images of the night sky and celestial objects. Many people believe that astrophotography requires expensive and complicated equipment, such as telescopes, cameras, and filters. However, with just a smartphone and a few simple accessories, anyone can capture beautiful photos of the stars, planets  and even the Milky Way. In this article, we will show you how to get started with astrophotography using smartphones. We will discuss what you need to prepare, how to set up your camera. By following these steps, you will be able to impress your friends and family with your amazing images of the night sky.   To get started with astrophotography, you need a smartphone. It's better if you have an Android phone because they have a dedicated Professional mode in their camera application. Open your camera app and go to Pro mode; it's proba...

Value of the iPhone

The iPhone is a globally renowned smartphone that has been influential since its debut in 2007. Apple deserves credit for popularizing the smartphone as a mainstream device, though there are also some drawbacks that need to be addressed. However, in this article, we will focus on the reasons why the iPhone holds such great value from the perspective of a Sri Lankan. Let's begin by discussing some of the iPhone's featur es that contribute to its value. Firstly, its build quality is exceptional. Not only does it have an aesthetically pleasing design, but it is also constructed with high-quality materials and built to last. The new models of the iPhone, except for the regular iPhone 14, have a back glass fused with the frame, which makes it so that the only way to access the phone's interior from the front by removing the display. This design helps protect the phone from water and dust, which is a common issue with many Android phones. The adhesive holding the back panel becom...

John Wick: Chapter 4 Review

John Wick: Chapter 4               As this is my first review, I'd like to provide a quick introduction to the structure I'll be using. I won't start with an overly long introduction to the movie since I assume you already know what it's about. However, if you're unfamiliar with it, a quick Google search can help. Firstly, I'll rate the movie in seven categories out of ten. Next, I'll provide the reasons for those ratings along with my experience and thoughts about the movie. Then, I'll suggest whether or not you should watch it. Finally, I'll conclude by saying, " It all comes down to preference. Everyone has their own tastes, and this is according to mine," just so you don't track down and kill  me.
